Cow dung fertilizer although is good for plants, needs to be applied in the plants in a particular way for the benefits to take place. First of all, we need to make sure that we do not use fresh cow dung as it can be harmful. Then, we will dig a small hole in the soil of around 3-4 inches and place the fertilizer in the hole. Then, cover it with the soil. Now, we will properly water the soil.

If we use fresh cow dung, then it will surely start to burn your plant and the leaves will start to turn brown and wither away. If we check its nutrients value, then it contains 12% of organic carbon, 1% of Nitrogen, 0.5% of Phosphorus and 0.24% of Potassium.

Bone Meal as organic fertilizers

Bone Meal is made of grounded animal bones. It is prepared by the processes of steaming and grinding the bones. It is also a good soil amendment which is rich in the nutrient value of Phosphorus and it also contains some amount of Nitrogen and calcium. If we check its nutrient value, then it contains almost 3% of Nitrogen, around 12% to 16% of Phosphorus. It helps in the root formation of plants and retains its phosphorus value.

Bone meal is a slow release organic fertilizer which means it needs to be applied and be left for a big amount of time. For the application, just mix the powder with the soil in a ratio of 1:10. Now the bone meal will start to slowly release its nutrients into the soil. Don’t use the fertilizer for at least another 1 month. Mustard Cake as organic fertilizer

Mustard cake is a waste product formed after extracting the mustard oil from mustard seeds. Mustard soil is a good organic fertilizer if we want to focus on flowering or fruiting of the plants. If we check its nutrients value then we find out that it contains good amount of plant protein, 5% of nitrogen, 1% of Phosphorus and 2% of potassium in it. To use mustard cake fertilizer in order to help our plants obtain nutrients, we need to mix it into the soil is a ratio of 1:15. The mustard then will biologically start to degrade and dissolve into the soil. This will dissolve all the nutrients in the soil and provide them to the plant.  Hence mustard cake is good choice for organic farming and organic gardening.

Neem cake powder as organic fertilizer

It is formed by the extraction of oil from neem fruits. It is a widely used fertilizer in organic gardening and organic farming which contains many nutrients which a plant needs for its proper growth. It contains almost 3% of nitrogen, 1% of Phosphorus and 2% of potassium in it. It has a bunch of benefits for our soil. It improves the soil’s fertility level by increasing the amount of organic matter in the soil thus, helping our plants to develop fruits faster.
