If we check the nutrition value of cow dung, then it roughly contains 3% of Nitrogen, 2% of Phosphorus and 1% of potassium.

The use of cow dung compost produces fewer amounts of greenhouse gases such as Carbon-dioxide, Carbon-monoxide and Methane which makes it environment friendly.

How to use cow dung fertilizer in our soil?

Cow dung fertilizer although is good for plants, needs to be applied in the plants in a particular way for the benefits to take place. First of all, we need to make sure that we do not use fresh cow dung as it can be harmful. Then, we will dig a small hole in the soil of around 3-4 inches and place the fertilizer in the hole. Then, cover it with the soil. Now, we will properly water the soil.

If we use fresh cow dung, then it will surely start to burn your plant and the leaves will start to turn brown and wither away. That is why, we should always use stale cow dung fertilizer to be applied in our plants soil. Vermicompost as organic fertilizer

Vermicompost is another easily available natural fertilizer. It is made from the recycled waste of earthworms. The organic waste which earthworms excrete contains beneficial amounts of a lot of nutrients. This compost is also known as black gold. If we check its nutrients value, then it contains 12% of organic carbon, 1% of Nitrogen, 0.5% of Phosphorus and 0.24% of Potassium.

How to use Vermicompost properly in our plants?

Vermicompost can be use very easily for our plants. We need to just take the required quantity and we can either spread it near the plant soil or we can also mix it with soil by tilling and turning process. 


Bone Meal as organic fertilizers

Bone Meal is made of grounded animal bones. It is prepared by the processes of steaming and grinding the bones. It is also a good soil amendment which is rich in the nutrient value of Phosphorus and it also contains some amount of Nitrogen and calcium. If we check its nutrient value, then it contains almost 3% of Nitrogen, around 12% to 16% of Phosphorus. It helps in the root formation of plants and retains its phosphorus value.

How to use bone meal properly in our plants?

Bone meal is a slow release organic fertilizer which means it needs to be applied and be left for a big amount of time. For the application, just mix the powder with the soil in a ratio of 1:10. Now the bone meal will start to slowly release its nutrients into the soil. Don’t use the fertilizer for at least another 1 month. Bone meal also a good choice for organic gardening and organic farming.

Mustard Cake as organic fertilizer

Mustard cake is a waste product formed after extracting the mustard oil from mustard seeds. Mustard soil is a good organic fertilizer if we want to focus on flowering or fruiting of the plants. If we check its nutrients value then we find out that it contains good amount of plant protein, 5% of nitrogen, 1% of Phosphorus and 2% of potassium in it. When we use it in the soil, it protects our plants from diseases and makes them healthy. It also improves soil structure for holding moisture.

How to use mustard cake fertilizer in our soil?

To use mustard cake fertilizer in order to help our plants obtain nutrients, we need to mix it into the soil is a ratio of 1:15. The mustard then will biologically start to degrade and dissolve into the soil. This will dissolve all the nutrients in the soil and provide them to the plant.  Hence mustard cake is good choice for organic farming and organic gardening.

Neem cake powder as organic fertilizer

It is formed by the extraction of oil from neem fruits. It is a widely used fertilizer in organic gardening and organic farming which contains many nutrients which a plant needs for its proper growth. It contains almost 3% of nitrogen, 1% of Phosphorus and 2% of potassium in it. It has a bunch of benefits for our soil. It improves the soil’s fertility level by increasing the amount of organic matter in the soil thus, helping our plants to develop fruits faster. This fertilizer also acts like a pest controller but do not harm to all beneficial microbes which acts like supply chain for providing nutrients to the plants. Overall it is also a good choice for using in organic gardening.

How to use Neem cake powder is our soil?

To use the Neem cake powder fertilizer in our soil, first we will mix the powder directly in the soil and do proper watering in the soil and then it will start to dissolve the nutrients in the soil. It is also a slow release process and as the time passes the soil microbes start breaking it and plant start getting its benefits. The most important part is that the Neem cake do not harm the soil worms which works for plants
